FY25 North Texas Food Bank Virtual Food Drive

Nakayoshi

Nakayoshi Initiative Anniversary Food Drive

April 6 is the first anniversary of the formation of the Nakayoshi Initiative, a volunteer-driven grassroots movement by the Japanese community to fight hunger through the work of the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB). We are holding a virtual food drive to celebrate the anniversary from March 18 through April 9.

Texas has the second-highest rate of food insecurity in the nation at 16.9%, more than 4.5% higher than the U.S. average. In Texas, 1 in 6 households are food insecure. More than 1.9 million families – including approximately 5.1 million Texans – are at risk for hunger.

Through our team’s virtual food drive and NTFB’s ability to stretch every dollar donated into three meals, your support makes a difference for food insecure children, seniors, and families in North Texas.

To donate to our virtual food drive, fill your cart with the items and follow the steps to check out.

Thank you for partnering with us to help North Texans facing hunger!
